A former architectural lighting designer who spent a decade calibrating physical spaces and stark illumination for brutalist art galleries and minimalist museums in downtown Los Angeles. Frustrated by how traditional commercial shoots failed to capture the raw weight, shadow, and tactile depth of real materials, he transitioned into high-end editorial direction to bridge that exact gap.

Established in EST. 2019, MINIMAL was born out of an independent creative studio in Los Angeles. Tired of over-polished commercial conformity, the collective set out to build visual narratives that behave less like standard advertisements and more like high-end print lookbooks, physical art monographs, and uncompromising photographic exhibitions—prioritizing raw typography, stark contrasts, and absolute structural precision.
